Teaching Garden Update July 9th

As summer continues to heat up, our produce in the Teaching Garden is becoming more abundant! Our echinacea flowers are blooming beautifully.

This week we have our first ripened cherry tomatoes, and our cucumbers in the greenhouse are almost full sized!

We also donated ~265 pounds of produce this week to Chili's on Wheels! This week's donation included...

16 pounds of Basil!

100 pounds of Potatoes!

36 pounds of Carrots!

15 pounds of Onions!

and 60 pounds of greens! Including the beautiful Collards pictured as well as Kale and Swiss Chard.

We also donated Beets, Shishito peppers, and a variety of herbs including Sage, Thyme, Chives, and Mint.

Don't forget to visit us on the weekend to see all the produce in person. We have family friendly activities including mini watering cans, scavenger hunts, and more!
