According to a 2013 study from the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), viewing nature scenes provides the brain with rich stimuli that excites the brain in ways different than our artificial urban or suburban environments can.
Research suggests that viewing nature scenes, looking out a window, or even observing house plants or flower bouquets, can help the body heal faster after surgeries and ward off colds.
Finally, improve your mood! Being surrounded by nature, physically or virtually, can decrease tension and improve energy levels.
